Dance Videography
 For Dance Companies I offer an "Artist's Rate" for productions that will be presented on multiple days (minimum of 3). I will work at this special rate providing I have the flexibility to choose which show to document. These special rates include up to 80 minutes of recording time, mini-DV tape stock, and two DVD reference copies of unedited footage. Typically I will preview a dress rehearsal before taping a performance, however this is contingent upon my availability.
I shoot live events with a Sony PD170 camera, which performs exceptionally in low light situations and can wrangle dark and moody performance and dance. I have an array of wide angle lenses that enable me to shoot effectively in small venues. For clean sound mixes I route audio directly from a mixing board via wireless. I also use wireless mics to to improve the sound quality of live music or vocals.
Regarding Post-Production: I am quite willing to turn over master tapes to those who have access to editing facilities or to an editor. No post-production activities (e.g., titling or editing) are included with the basic documentation service. |

- Standard Rate (up to 4 hours on location).
The $250 rate applies when locking in a specific shooting date. Includes up to 80 minutes of recording time.

The $200 rate applies for shows occurring on 3 or more nights for which I have the option of choosing which show to document.

- Additional Recording
For shows exceeding 80 minutes in length there’s an additional $50 charge, covering up to a total of 2 hours of performance time.

- Shipping of Dubs
Most clients choose to swing by my studio and pick up their dubs. If you want your tapes shipped there is an additional charge. Dubs are shipped via Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation.

Master tapes are shipped via secure Express Mail, thus the higher charge.

- Performance Films
I also make customized performance documents which can be recorded in remote locations and shot Film Style (shooting multiple takes from a variety of angles). Inquire for details if you are interested in making a Performance Film (as opposed to a basic Live Recording).
